So April 15th was the day we had to have our taxes done. Thank goodness I am not under that kind of pressure to finish my needlepoint pieces! I would be in big trouble. We all have projects we have started and not quite completed yet. I said when I started to needlepoint that I was not going to fall into the pit of not finishing things that I started. Well, ha ha, I jumped in feet first!! It's o.k. though, unless it is December and I wanted that ornament for a gift!! I don't know about you, but when I started needlepointing I had no idea about the deadlines for finishing. Make sure to check with us about our finishing deadlines so that you can get your treasures back when you need them!

"Over the Top"
There's so much you can do to add the "wow factor" to your canvas. This class is all about the stuff - you know, all the cool materials to add to your canvas but you have no idea how to use them. Some will go on top of your stitches and some will actually become the stitches. Learn to use materials that will add sparkle and dimension, create stumpwork, deconstruct some of your favorite threads to make them take on a completely different look, and attach embellishments and everyday objects to add that extra interest to your canvas.
Class fee includes 8 x 12 canvas.
Student to provide stretcher bars.
1pm until 4pm
"What the Heck do I do with this?"
We've all seen them. Multi-colored and overdyed threads that look really fun but you have no idea how they would ever work on a needlepoint canvas. Some are subtle, some, not so much. The key is to look at those threads in terms of stitches that celebrate and make the most of them. Some work, some don't. This class is all about exploring those gorgeous overdyes, how to handle them and stitch with them to add interest to your canvas. Once you know how to use overdyes, you'll find you've entered a new world of color and possibility.
Class fee includes 8 x 12 canvas.
Student to provide stretcher bars.
Taking both classes?
Take $15 dollars off....$135 for both!
Lunch Boxes $10

We just got in our custom needle cases! This great little case comes in two styles...one is just a magnetic needle case - the other a magnet for needles on one side and a sticky pad for beading on the other side! Makes a great gift for your stitching friends and you might as well get one or both for yourself! They come in three colors...silver, blue and lime!

All the people at Stamp Ideas made this website possible....they know lots about needlepoint now!! "5 is the size of the Pearl Cotton...27.3 is the yardage!" I want to thank my "social media manager", too! She has made Pinterest possible for The Bug...Alecia you know I can not pin! I need to also give credit to my right hand man...maybe my left hand man, too! I could not do any of this without Adelaide!!!! I must say everyone including my family has been involved in the process and for that I am thankful! For those of you in the area please stop in Tuesday October 14th, 2 until 4 for the Big Announcement of the site along with refreshments, prizes, gifts plus be some the first to sign up for Birthday Bug Bucks! Needless to say Meri is “one heck of a stitcher”! What words would you use to describe this absolutely wonderful, fabulous, gorgeous, extraordinary, out this world, breathtaking, good-looking, stunning, exquisite…piece?
